T1D All Stars

T1D Allstars Kickoff Event

More Information

At our T1D Allstars kickoff event, kids and teens will take on high-energy fun, including a hands-on Ninja Warrior-style class led by coaches trained with athletes from the famous TV show American Ninja Warrior.

This experience goes beyond play – it reflects our mission to empower young athletes to believe that T1D doesn’t limit their potential; it’s simply part of their story. Each T1D Allstars event brings encouragement, connection, and a sense of belonging, reminding every child that they can play every sport, chase every goal, and live every adventure while creating unforgettable memories together, and reminding them to always Dream Big with No Limits!

While the kids enjoy T1D Allstars activities, parents are required to stay on-site — you can cheer your child on and connect with other T1D families through casual, supportive conversations, sharing tips, swapping experiences, and simply feeling understood in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

Whether they’re conquering obstacle courses together, teaming up for games, or just having fun with new T1D Allstar friends, they’ll be challenged, empowered, and motivated while building confidence, resilience, and a REAL T1D local community.

Q&A

What if my child has never participated in a Ninja Warrior class before?

That’s totally okay! T1D Allstars events are designed for ALL experience levels. First-timers are always welcome, and our coaches make sure everyone feels included.

Absolutely! Parents actually MUST stay, it’s mandatory. While kids participate in activities, parents are encouraged to connect with other T1D families in a casual, supportive environment.

Safety always comes first — and all blood sugar management remains fully the responsibility of each child’s parent or guardian. Parents/guardians should monitor their child’s blood sugars just as they normally would during any activity. Our T1D Allstars staff and coaches are briefed on T1D basics; but they do not manage your child’s T1D & blood sugar. Parents MUST stay on-site at the event for support, and kids can take a break anytime to treat a blood sugar need – no pressure, no stress. Everyone here understands, and kids & teens are welcome to jump back into the class whenever they’re ready!

We recommend packing the essentials to help your child stay comfortable, safe, and ready to play!

Please bring:

  • T1D Supplies: All personal diabetes management items such as CGM and pump supplies, insulin and backup insulin pens/syringes, glucose meter and test strips, fast-acting glucose (like glucose tabs or juice boxes), and snacks for low blood sugar.
  • Water Bottle: Staying hydrated is key, especially during our sports activities.
  • Athletic Shoes, socks & Comfortable Clothing: Dress for movement and fun!

A Positive Attitude: Every event is about connection, empowerment, and having a great time – come ready to play and meet new friends!
